Disappointing Went for dinner with my wife. Recommended by the Hotel Margherita. This is a vineyard, but you would have no idea that it was a vineyard as there is no information given about neither by the staff o or by signage. We have no reason to believe we were at a vineyard, except.that we were told it was one. The staff doesn 't speak any English and this may be the crux of the problem. I was hoping to hear about the vineyard and their history, specialties, and more, but there was nothing. So we were seated outside in a very plain terrace overlooking a valley. Pretty view although the space where we ate outside was plain as could be. All the tables had mosquito coils burning next to them. Ah what a smell to open your appetite, NOT. The menu.... maybe 10 items to chose from. I ordered the Antipasti. This turned out to be bean soup on one plate, and on another there was ricotta cheese garnished with nuts and nut cake. Not what I was expecting. Definitely not bad soup. For main course I ordered the pig and I was surprised to receive a past with some chuncks of pork in it. Not bad but nothing special. Simple food here. We choose the Baruch Primitivo. This was certainly the best part of the meal by far. Nice bottle. Full bodied. Nicely balanced. Decent structure. Service was weak. Very weak. We waited 30 mins to pay our bill. But they did decide to collect as we decided to leave after waiting as long a we could. Food 5/10 Wine 8/10 Service 3/10 Atmosphere 5/10 We had a feeling like they just did 't care about us or making an experience for their dinner guests. P.S. I subtracted zero points for the giant mouse (rat? That can visited our table. With a squeal, my wife jumped! But I imagine this is normal in the countryside.
