Bidra med feedbackAs a professional event planner/wedding planner for 17 years and owners of extraordinary events, now retired, I had the pleasure of working with Robin Hunt and Le Cake for many years. Actually, I always called Robin for my most important events. Their artistic skills and excellent customer service have always attracted my customers. And honestly, the delicious quality of their cakes was always something I could count on. I can and can recommend it without hesitation.
Le Cake is simply THE BEST!! Not only are the cakes delicious but the designs are absolutely one of a kind! I first worked with Robin for my wedding five years ago. We had rave reviews about the cupcakes and there was not a single one left at the end of the night. Since then we have used Le Cake for many other special occasions like my dad’s retirement party, our wedding anniversary, birthdays, and baby gender reveals. No matter the event or the size of cake- Robin makes every cake one to remember both with the taste and especially the presentation. Robin always goes above and beyond and always exceeds my expectations. I recommend Le Cake any chance I get. Everyone deserves the exceptional quality of cake and unique design that Le Cake delivers every time!
Le Cake is the absolute best! Several of our wedding guests went back for a second serving as the cake was irresistible. Robin’s cakes are gorgeous and unbelievably delicious! My husband and I have ordered at least one cake every year since our wedding. Our friends and family rave about the quality of the cake and you cannot just eat one piece. I highly recommend Robin and Le Cake.
We hired Le Cake for my daughter’s wedding last May (2017). Let me just say the cake was stunning and it tasted just as good! Robin just was outstanding from the planning phase to the final product. I highly recommend her for your wedding cake needs.
Regarding Odonata's feedback, I have never met her and am not familiar with her name. We spoke on the phone once, and this is the only anonymous assessment I have. First, I want to say that our conversation was pleasant. She wanted a winter-themed cake with delicately crafted butterfly decorations made from pine needles. I expressed my concern that they might crack during the 40-minute drive she had to make, as customer satisfaction is my priority. I always take great care to ensure that my cakes arrive safely. Initially, she had requested a cake featuring two animals, and we went over decoration options for the winter theme. I suggested a sweater-embossed fondant cake and provided a quote for a 10-inch and 6-inch cake that included the fondant costs, which are higher than buttercream, along with the time required to create the sweater embellishments and a satinized cake board that accompanies all my cakes. It’s possible that the quote exceeded her budget, as we then discussed an 8-inch cake. However, the original quote she mentioned was for the 10-inch and 6-inch cakes, not a single 8-inch cake, which certainly wouldn’t have come close to the price she indicated. In the end, she preferred the buttercream with the delicate design, but I regrettably had to inform her that I couldn’t accommodate that specific request due to the potential risks during transport. She mentioned she would talk it over with her significant other and getting back to me, and our conversation remained friendly. I genuinely don’t understand the basis for her review. The only explanation I can think of is that she was upset because I couldn't fulfill her special buttercream cake request with the pine needle design and perhaps suggested she seek an alternative baker. I am always polite to my customers and would never be rude. As for the comment about being “best in state,” I’m unsure what it pertains to unless it's referencing a DC article titled "50 States of Wedding Cakes," in which I was featured for Iowa with a photo of one of my cakes. As many businesses on Google know, it’s rare for reviews to be removed, and I have never deleted any Google reviews. Interestingly, it appears she has left four reviews across different platforms, with this being her second on Google. Months ago, she reviewed me but had to delete her initial feedback to submit this new one today. I find this to be quite excessive, and I believe many would agree with me. Thank you for your understanding!
