Bidra med feedbackIf I had to take a restaurant on a desert island, it would be Sfixio. I recommend this fantastic place for anyone who loves a cool mood, great food and great service (and simple parking in the nearby structure! Mara and Massimo are committed to a casually upscale, stylish and unique culinary experience. Branzino is my favorite and Mara always has a special wine to join him. You make a ton of fantastic events in the main area and in the above loft...so bring your party or your friends and have a great time!
The food was excellent as we expected; the service was attentive. A pleasant experience for us and for our friends from South Bay.
Every single dish was fresh and amazing. Will come back to the Italian restaurant.
For Valentine's Day Dinner. $98 per person Pre Fixe menu that we were not made aware of when booking. That's okay. Beverly Hills and Sfixio have a ton of 5 star reviews. It wasn't okay. I'm in the hospitality industry and I'm lucky enough to eat in the world of 3 Michelin Star tasting menus on street food and everything in between! The food in Sfixio was not world class and was not worth money....sadly. Our waitress was beautiful, the place itself is also pleasant enough. We have made our decisions to launch Burrata and tuna tars. The accompaniments of Burrata were bland... we had much better. Tuna tartare was mushy. Molecular Black Truffle Pasta and the Porchini Mushroom Pasta. My truffle pasta was inconspicuous for the eye. Looks like caviar stirred by creamy angel hair pasta. It was rocky, lumpy and had nothing to do with molecular. Porchini Pasta was okay. Main thing and lamb. Both were good and well cooked. The brussel sprouts with the lamb were terrible and my partner did not eat the vege that came with the steak. Dessert...Mascarpone cheese in a martini glass with raspberries and 4 winning reels, sold as cream puffs. We had two glasses of champagne and I had a glass of Pinot Noir. Account for the two of us $256. I have no problem, big expenses for food. Especially on special occasions. However, I have a great problem with such venues, which are applying in this way and which are painfully opposed to the promise of such prices. Value for money means different things for different people. A man's floor is another man's ceiling. I understand, but I feel really ripped off the other night. I've read so many glowing reviews that it makes writing so sad. I have nothing but love and affinity for those who are in the hospitality industry, as I have been for many years. Avoid fixed nights here.
It was good, but not as great as I expected. The portions are so small that you really need to go Italian and have a starter as well as a main course. That puts the total price much on the high side, and for that price other places offer a better experience. However, it is walking distance to Rodeo Drive so what do you expect? I found my dish a bit on the bland side but maybe that 's just me. The hostess (and chef 's wife) is very sweet and friendly, in fact we adored her. The decor is nice, rather simple and very Italian in feeling but not too traditional. If we 're shopping Rodeo Drive we might dine there again, but would probably not drive across the city to go there.
