Alamode Cafe - Big Rapids

Looks very deceptive. do not support their decision to stop here from outside, we have done almost that, but based on the previous reviews decided to try it. so glad we stopped. the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was so juicy, that was delicious and fresh. Our favorite Big Rapids restaurant was far to breakfast. have not tried to lunch, but cannot imagine we will be disappointed.

I really wanted to like this cozy little place, but after we received what we thought was our food, and it was not. It was hard to get past.The server was really struggling to remember peoples orders. Quite a long wait.I do want to note when we arrived there was a very rude customer being aggressive with the server trying to get the cost of his order reduced (opinion when it appears he can easily afford) made me very angry and uncomfortable. I'm am so sorry to that server (who handled that with grace even while she was shaking)! No person should be treated like that! Server's are human too!

We go up to Baldwin every year for a canoe trip and today would have been our 3rd time stopping which I don’t know why we did complete waste of time last time they told us the wait was 10 min and we were waiting for 45 min so this time I called when we weee 5 min away she told me 10 min AGAIN same situation only this time had names written on 4 pages when I waited 25 min and asked were we were the tall blonde was extremely rude I will never go there again Food is decent but they are extremely un organized they will tell you there’s a 10 min wait and it will be 45 min DO NOT WASTE YOIR TIME !! it probably has high stars because big rapids is small and no much to choose from

I love this quaint little restaurant they have very good food that is made from scratch I always go there and get the breakfast and they give you so much on your plate very good food for the price

If I could eat here daily for breakfast I most definitely would! The service was great and the food was delicious!! I ordered the breakfast special which included 2 eggs, sausage patty, potatoes, toast, homemade raspberry jam and your drink for $8.99. I was there even during their Sunday morning busy time and still received great service. I noticed several items on the menu that I want to go back to try. ?
