Bidra med feedbackWe ate at the bar as usual. Kim the bar tender was amazing, great company and on top of her game. The food was great. We had the crunchy shrimp roll and cucumber salad. And the cosmos were fantastic.
My wife, daughter and I knew Tien was an outstanding choice for Asian on the coast already. We each decided that this trip we would all try something outside our usual. I tried the crackling steak- you will never ever have had a steak this good in your life. The first bite was heaven and the only sadness was when you had to swallow because that bite was done. My wife and daughter tried a bite each and my daughter pushed her plate aside and reordered the steak for herself. Yes, it's that good. The service, ambience were outstanding as usual but this dish I cannot emphasize enough how good it was. Kudos to the Chef for coming to the table to tell us about how it's prepared.
The dumpling appetizer was delicious! I enjoyed the Korean fried chicken. My husband had the wagyu beef rice dish and said it was good, but not great. We would eat here again, but we'd both try different dishes.
Server was great. I thought the entrees took a while to come out kitchen. I ordered bulgogi which had great flavor, but was a bit overcooked. Not to tough but dry. I'd order again and ask not to be over cooked and add more sauce. I didn't think our seating area was very clean. I'd eat there again.
I enjoy my dining experience at Tien's. The traditional dining on Saturday was perfect. We had the most delightful waiter whom we have had before. On Friday, my friend's shrimp were undercooked so that was a disappointment to her. However, my birthday was acknowledged with a scoop of ice cream on a Birthday decorated plate so that recognition made me happy! Thanks for your personal attention to these types of details.
