Eli's Jerusalum Grill - Birmingham

The service and food at this restaurant are good. However, the music playing was not enjoyable.

The food we tried was lacking in flavor and seasoning. The rice and couscous were bland, but the hummus was a standout. The pita bread was thick and dense, not to my personal liking. The main issue was that our chicken kabob was undercooked, which was disappointing. The restaurant did not apologize but simply offered to cook another one for us. Undercooked chicken is a dealbreaker for me. Perhaps they were having an off day, but this experience was not enjoyable.

I enjoyed having the Cabbage Rolls on the weekend. It was a delightful treat!

I worked for Eli throughout high school and college. Encountering someone with his level of integrity is rare. Eli, along with his family, manages an exceptional restaurant. Space, particularly on Sundays, can be tight. Nevertheless, Eli's Jerusalem Grill serves as a welcoming, local venue for lunch with loved ones.

The food was great! Had the beef/lamb shawarma laffa, was very good.
