We called in here for lunch, ordered hot dog and fish and chips. 40 mins later the food had not arrived.I asked how much longer the food would be, only to be told the chef had had an “accident” with our food, and would cook it again, and we would get a discount. We asked , what kind of accident, but al, we got in reply was, an accident. We walked, lol

If I’m honest, the food got a five star! However, the service was so poor. Manager was rude and spoke down to us, it was as if she didn’t want us there or didn’t want us to be there herself. Such a shame, this could’ve been a better review. Only 3 Jimmy Wick Stars from me! Don’t think I will be returning! Thanks to the kitchen for filling me up though!

Was disappointed as soon as I entered. Booth was cold I had to keep my coat on. 4 items from the menu wasn't available so left fewer options. Ordered chicken wings, they were unedible as so hot we couldn't eat them for ages (microwave? . Finally ordered chicken burger with coleslaw . The smallest portion of coleslaw looked like they shred a few cabbage leaves. Burnt breaded chicken and so pricy for what we got. Very disappointing!

Had to grab a bite before our night out. Perfect place to go. The meals were all delicious. Especially the chicken, so succulent and lots of flavour. Ended up ordering it again.

I was enjoying a drink here as part of a group on a quiet Saturday evening. Unfortunately a few inebriated punters kicked up a fuss and a melee broke out in the middle of the pub. We weren't part of the scrap but we involved ourselves to help calm things down as there were only two male members of staff and no door security. A lady with short hair and glasses called the Police and we were tarred with the same brush as the antagonists. We were mortified to be marched out by the Police despite the fact we had helped them diffuse the situation as stated above there was no security and only one obliging member of staff who tried to deal with it positively. Poor judgement and decision making by the manager, I wouldn't want them running my establishment. When she was questioned by one of the calmer members of the other group she acted petulant and dismissive. I've worked in hospitality and I thought it was a poor show for a city bar.
