St. Friary Fish Chips - Blackpool

This is easily the best fish and chips meal I have had in months, and I really enjoy a good fish and chips. It seems like they have new owners based on previous reviews, and it's also very affordable. I highly recommend trying it out, you won't be disappointed.

The cheap trays at this restaurant are absolutely awful - they are in halves by the time you get home. I ordered chips, curry, and sausage but instead got chips with gravy and peas. The sausage looked like a tray of sick peas and everything was hard.

I went to the restaurant on Saturday afternoon and was disappointed. I'm not sure if there was a change in staff or if they were understaffed, but the service was slow and the food quality suffered. The gravy and peas were watery, the chips were undercooked, and the portions were very small. The only items worth eating were the steak pudding and sausage. I won't be returning and will instead pay a bit more to go to a better local chip shop. Additionally, I've heard that the restaurant often closes earlier than its stated time in the evenings.

Helpful staff, making certain order was correct, condiments, forks, bag service was bang on. Food taste amazing.
