Mike's Seafood Market Grill

Good food, long line. I thought the food was great, my only complaint is the long line to come and it took a while to get our food.

We've been going to Mike's for 10 years, and it's a must do each time we visit our cabin in Young Harris. Our favorites include whole (live) Maine lobster for $20 bucks, blackened and lemon peppered grouper and fried flounder. Tonight we split a captains platter all grilled.

Super cute find and great seafood! The best fried oysters and the jumbo shrimp are truly jumbo. A must if u are in the neighborhood.

Great Seafood. When you enter, you must get in line to place your order. It was not that busy when I was there, but it can be. Just be patient, it is well worth it. The Food was great. Hush puppies served with everything (if you want them) and I did, they were very good. Everything fresh. I had the wild salmon blackened and grilled. it was delicious. Hubby had the fried cod. He's more of a fish and chips guy rather than a fresh grilled or broiled. His Cod was also great, nice and light. good sides, and the chowder was good, but a bit thick. Very cassual atmosphere. Good price for good food. I didn't mind waiting in line, it wasn't that long. Don't see why all the fuss. If you want to get dressed up and go out don't go here.

Mike's Mahi Mahi. We tried Mike's Seafood Market Grill this weekend while visiting Blairsville. I was pleased with the variety on the menu. I would really like to try several entrees. This time around I went with the blackened lemon pepper Mahi Mahi. It was very good! I ordered the smaller portion (5 ounces) because I wasn't that hungry. It came with two sides(baked potato onion rings) and two complimentary hushpuppies. The sides were alright, not great. The puppies were very good!!!. My wife had the Shrimp Poorboy, which was decent, but didn't come with any dressing, so I guess one must ask for that. Pricing and Quality checked out. Atmosphere is alright, alot of fishing decor. Service is.....well it's self-serve, so no tippy from me. As many have already mentioned, the wait in line is excruciating. I'm glad this place is popular, but WOW, what a wait! Since it's self-serve, and the atmosphere isn't anything special, I would consider getting it to go. Call ahead.
