Golden Crown - Bloomfield Hills

I truly have nothing negative to say about this restaurant! I regret not taking some nice photos before diving into the delicious food, but everything was fantastic! It's a wonderful spot for a Christmas dinner, especially if your family gatherings on Christmas Eve are anything like mine. Everything we tried on our visit was excellent, and I can't wait to go back for the almond dish and the egg rolls (as well as the dumplings and everything else!).

Everything we had during this visit was excellent, and we can’t wait to return for more of the almond dishes, egg rolls, dumplings, and everything else!

I’m not sure what the previous reviews meant when they mentioned small portion sizes, as we found the servings to be quite generous. We had more than enough food for the two of us, even after ordering duck. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. It's American Chinese cuisine, which is exactly what we were in the mood for, and it didn't disappoint. Our dishes were served piping hot, and our waitress was incredibly attentive and accommodating—she truly was a gem. I do agree with others about the host/cashier, who didn’t seem very friendly or sociable, as he didn’t acknowledge our presence. However, I didn’t feel the need to interact with him, so it didn’t bother me. We'll definitely be coming back!

So many Chinese restaurants are closing. We came here on the recommendation of the owners of Kims in Troy. Great flavors. Portions were good. The clay soup won was A.
