Bidra med feedbackI took myself to breakfast last Sunday and had a pleasant experience at dinner in the counter with my waitress Rachel, who was attentive, committed and helpful. I wanted something simple: only scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, crispy houseries and rye toast, and it was all great and cheap. In addition, although not on their expansive coffee menu, Rachel has me a fabulous decaf mocha hot coffee with just hot cocoa mix, cream and coffee. My breakfast was great, my Mocha coffee was excellent, and Rachel is a jewel. I'm not a fan of national chain restaurants and was a little hesitant, based on some of these reviews, but I'm glad I gave the place a try. Not the mother and pop diner experience I prefer, but still very nice.
We waited about an hour to get a table but it was well worth the wait. Everything was delicious and our server was excellent. I was over the moon for the flight of juices, the morning after having enjoyed flights of wine and ciders for a bachelorette party!
Nouveau diner spot for breakfast lunch. Service friendly and reasonably quick. It is however a chain restaurant. Some unique specialty drinks. Outdoor seating available. Decent but not special slight twist to the standard diner
Finally tried this place and was not impressed. We've heard it was good from a few of our friends, but we must have went on the wrong day? I got the Wilbur Skillet with unripened avocado's and the dish felt like it was sitting in the window for 15 mins. My wife got the avocado toast with unripened avocado and burnt toast (pictures show). We waiting about 25 mins for our food to come out and we even beat the morning rush. We had to say something to two workers asking where our meal was. The two stars are for the coffee which was the best part. Update: January 2022 this was a bit better experience. Service was slow and minimal, plus it was not even crowded when we dined in. Coffee is great. The Shakshuka was decent, but now I typically have enjoyed it.
We thought the 25-minute waiting time would be worth it and can point out that we were for an above-average meal and great service. It was more than 30 minutes to get a table. The coffee came 15 minutes after the order and we waited another 5 minutes to stir the coffee after 2 requests for cutlery. The food was okay. Our waitress didn't even check us out. The place is cute and the menu has great options. But unless they can increase their staff and provide more attentive service, we will not be back.
