Bidra med feedbackToday we wanted to go to the actual orchard, but as they led us to wear masks that we left and drove around a small thru city. We drove by and decided to stop. I'm very happy. From the beginning to the end we had great service from Julie and although we could not do a tasting, we tried a new cedar that was brilliant. The building was a beautiful old bank and the story behind it was pretty cool. We go back and would like to visit the orchard as soon as the masks are not obligatory.
Delicious buffet, there were eggs (scrambled), hash browns, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, chicken and waffles and a few other items. The biscuits are delicious although not the densest I 've ever had, which was a good thing. Very good sausage links, fried chicken, gravy everything was delicious. Nice atmosphere, there is a gift shop and cider bar...there is a vault you can eat in. Also, ask for apple butter for your biscuit. I was told that they opened this restaurant because the one at the orchard two miles north would get so busy that the wait times often exceeded 45 minutes...but the menu is the same here as it is at the orchard.
Despite some of the poor reviews, our party of 6 visited for breakfast. The staff was very accommodating and put 2 tables together for our party. The breakfast buffet was great... We actually liked it better than the main location. We feel that because this location is of less volume, they do a great job of cooking in small batches which keeps the food very hot and fresh. We were very pleased with this experience and will definitely return.
Downtown Blue Ridge is improving! Mercier Orchards has opened a new restaurant in the heart of downtown, serving breakfast and lunch, and there's also a bakery next door offering its renowned fruit fried cakes. Guests can choose between a menu or a breakfast buffet. We can't resist the French toast with cinnamon apples, so we haven't tried anything else on the menu. The coffee is fantastic and freshly ground. Additionally, they offer hard cider and tasting flights. The restaurant is open from 7 AM to 6 PM.
A wonderful spot at Mercier Orchards Downtown in Blue Ridge for a delightful breakfast on the sidewalk, excellent coffee, and speedy, friendly service—all topped off with a bag of happiness! We will definitely return!
