Novello Restaurant & Bar - Boca Raton

This is a mixed review. The food was very good, though on the pricier side. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, but the host was very pleasant and we could see that he tried to move a table gently along which had paid, so we understood the waiting. We sat at a very nice outdoor table. Our server was quite attentive and very appealing with the beverage orders. The problem was that only 3/4 meals were taken out and when we were over the 4th. Dinner asked, we were told that the order was never put into the kitchen. But these things happen. We waited 15-20 min for the 4. Meals and the other 3 people had finished their meals until then. The diner said the food was delicious, though very late. At the end of the meal, the exam was without reference to the late meal, offer of dessert/coffee/a after dinner drink or any kind of compensation (we were not looking for the cost of meal to be deleted from the bill). When we asked the server about it, we were told that the owner wasn't there and only he can make an accommodation. We have all excavated many times and found this as an unacceptable answer. Wasn't there a manager? A simple offer of coffee/dessert (which we would probably have been late anyway) would have been appropriate. So, the food was good, the exterior was nice enough, but we were left with a negative feeling from the experience. We would be willing to eat here again, although a bit hesitant.

Food and service was great. A bit expensive but the quality was worth it

I was in Novello a few times the food is consistent, but the service fell short this time. The waiter never returned to the table to ask if we wanted another glass of wine, so when the food arrived, we had no wine. Too bad I will think twice about the return there in the season

Novello is our “Go-To” place for romantic atmosphere or showcasing the Best Italian restaurant in the Boca-Delray area to our many out of town friends and family. Each dish is prepared to perfection and having a skilful pianist featuring lovely dinner music creates yet another evening to remember!

Absolutely perfect for a romantic Valentines Day dinner!
