Welfare Cafe - Boerne

What a wonderful café! We visited to check out the wedding room for a client, and we couldn't be more excited. There are so many fantastic spots for photos, and the traffic noise is minimal since it’s not located on a main road. It was delightful to enjoy lunch and wine in such a peaceful environment. The lunch was delicious, and there was plenty of wine to complement whatever you choose. While the food isn’t cheap, it’s expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. We had the goat cheese eggs and blue crab cakes, which were worth the little splurge. The café even has a few “house dogs” to keep you company while you sip your wine. We spotted some chickens wandering around, a lizard, and even what we believe was a pheasant (which we photographed with the chicken). Overall, it’s a stunning place—perfect for a quiet meal away from the hustle and bustle!

Touring the Hill Country and came to this little jewel. We were impressed by the beautiful atmosphere, the fresh menu and the great wine map. But we were surprised when we were asked if we had reservations. I suppose in such a small town they have to exercise mass control. They pressed us and asked for our patience. The temperaillo was great and the burger we shared was perfectly cooked. The sauerkraut balls were unique and delicious. When I go to the coast, I put my patience on Island Time and will do the same when I return.

The food was very delicious, the staff friendly and the garden and the decoration beautiful. I definitely come back.

I'd give them 10 stars. In the middle of nothing. My wife and I discovered it when we spent a trip to the Hill Country in Comfort. We're leaving now to eat there. The food was from this world. Beautiful surroundings, especially in the evening during sunset. It also hosts weddings and other events on the grounds.

The location in Hill Country is stunning. The food is exceptional, served in a charming rustic atmosphere. You have the option to eat outdoors or inside. The menu features very fresh, locally sourced ingredients, all skillfully prepared by a talented chef. The wine selection is impressive as well. This place is ideal for special occasions, offering high-quality dishes in a relaxed environment.
