El Mexicano - BOILING SPRINGS

Here’s the thing: the service was average. However, I ordered an enchilada platter, and the ground beef one tasted odd. It was warm but had a stale flavor, which is definitely not ideal.

We absolutely love this restaurant! The queso dip is incredible—I've never encountered a better Mexican restaurant than this one.

I've been a customer for years, but my experience during lunch today has left me quite disappointed. When I asked for a refill of Coke, the waiter informed me that they only allow one refill now. I also requested a small cup of their spicier salsa, but he told me I would have to pay for it as a side and that I would get a larger cup. My meal cost $8.00 and my dining companion's was $6.00, but when we received the bill, it came to a shocking $26.00! We only had one refill of Coke each! Spicy Mexican food really makes me need more drinks. Given that there's now a limit on drink refills and the high cost of hot salsa, I won't be returning. I believe many other regular customers will choose to eat elsewhere, just as I will.

Good food... Same as all the others. Nothing unique, but still very good. The chicken soup is awesome. I know that's not the first thing that comes to mind when going to the order by number Mexican place, but its great!
