Bidra med feedbackI have been a fan of Leku Ona since they first opened, and I'm thrilled to say it hasn't changed a bit since I returned to Boise. I recently caught up with friends for dinner there, and the experience was just as wonderful as I remembered! The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, offering excellent recommendations. The food was delicious—I highly recommend the lamb chops—and my whiskey sour was expertly made. They also have a fantastic Happy Hour! I can't wait to visit again!
I was really excited to try this restaurant, but I ended up being completely disappointed. The service was awful from start to finish. The manager spent time complaining about the staff, the servers kept changing, and the one we ended up with couldn't remember our orders, so we had to repeat ourselves multiple times. They even struggled with making a drink from their own menu. I ordered the trout from their special menu, and I don't think I've ever tasted fish that was so bland—I couldn't even finish it. My friend ordered a glass of wine, but her second and third servings came in different glass sizes. It was clear that the person managing the bar had no idea what they were doing. Even when we tried to settle our bill, it took ages, and the place wasn't even busy. As we left and walked downstairs, we noticed the entire staff was on their phones and didn't acknowledge us at all. I couldn't believe how disappointing this experience was.
I was absolutely amazed! As a huge food enthusiast, I've tried nearly every restaurant in the Treasure Valley, yet I somehow hadn’t dined here until tonight. Though they seem to be facing the same post-pandemic staffing challenges as many places (which I can empathize with given my profession), the food was incredible. Simply outstanding! I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.
More that decent basque food. Of course, everything would taste better in Bilbao, but this is the other corner of the world and the raw ingredients are not the same, they do a great job nevertheless. The entrecôte was very, very good, good stuffed peppers, great croquetas, and enough wine selection. Non-pretentious food, the real value is in the quality of ingredients and just theright preparation. A true gem in the core of Boise.
I began visiting Leku Ona when it first opened, and I've always loved it. After moving back to Boise, I had dinner with friends there, and it remains just as wonderful as I remember! The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, offering excellent recommendations. The food was delicious (I highly recommend the lambing aprons), and my whiskey was expertly crafted. They also have a fantastic happy hour! Can I go back again?
