Bet's Famous Fish Fry - Boothbay Harbor

The lunch experience was outstanding! Every aspect, from the food to the service and atmosphere, received a perfect score. The Fried Haddock Sandwich was exceptionally delicious, and the Hand Cut French Fries were the perfect complement. Highly recommend this spot for a satisfying meal!

Bets makes the perfect fried fish. Came for a family reunion and looked forward to going back for many years. Was just as good as the first time. It's alright. The portion size for $20 is impressive. However, the fries were soggy, and the coating on the fish came off entirely, which shouldn't happen with fish and chips. The lack of crunch was disappointing since the batter fell off the fish, and the fish itself wasn't seasoned well. There wasn't enough tartar sauce to go with the amount of fish provided. It's a nice spot to grab a meal, and the locals seem to enjoy it, with a few tables and umbrellas next to the hut. However, it doesn’t even make my top 10 fish and chips places. Unfortunately, I found Gordon Ramsay's fish and chips chain to be better than this one.

Charming fish fry joint with generous portions! There’s on-site parking available and picnic tables shaded by umbrellas. The service was prompt, and the food was tasty. There’s also a vending machine in the back for drinks ($3 each). Please note that this restaurant only accepts cash. It appeared to be a favorite destination for both locals and visitors!
