Aroi Aroi Thai - Booval

Once upon a time Thai Aroy, was the Thai place to go to in the Western suburbs.

I've stopped by here once for lunch after being lured in by an attractive looking lunch special: Chicken & cashews, rice, salad and a drink for around $10 -

Aroi Aroi Thai is now our favourite Thai restaurant, indeed is one of the best we have ever been to, and being local is also our favourite Thai takeaway. Their Cashew Nut (Pad Med Ma Muang) is delicious, and a favourite of ours. As are the Curry Puffs, Satay, and Spring rolls!It's actually so nice that we have not tried much of the rest of the menu! Yet.Nook's staff are very friendly and helpful, and service is quite 'homely' as well, all adding to a really nice dinner experience. We love going to Aroi Aroi,- yes for the excellent food, but also for the friendly welcome every time we go there, and the great service we get when we are there.Our rating? Highly Recommended.

I ordered my lunch at the counter and the girl was friendly and sweet. Ordered a matcha latte, which was on their menu, but she did not know how to make it. Ordered the stir fried chicken with cashews lunch special. Prices were reasonable. Food arrived in good time. My meal tasted nice and the chicken was good quality but my meal was soaking in a bed of oil. I ordered the stir fry as I usually consider this to be a healthier option (compared to curry, for example). I eat a lot of That food and have never seen this much oil in my meal. For this reason only, I would not return.

My partner and I order from here at least once a weekend. After visiting Thailand a couple of years ago we struggled to find a Thai restaurant that truly emulated authentic Thai cuisine so it was a welcome surprise when this opened nearby and delivered exactly that. We discovered the chilli cashew stir fry by accident and it has become our favourite dish.
