Chez Paulette - Bordeaux

An eclectic and rather cluttered place, though not without a certain charm, used by tourists and locals. It serves regional (and sometimes slightly unusual) food in a fairly rustic style. Tastes are good and portion sizes adequate. Wine choices are fine and reasonably priced. We...enjoyed our meal here and would be happy to visit again.

I'd give it three and a half stars if I could as my meal was OK but my husband's was better. Had set menu for euro. Terrine was OK salmon was lovely. Main of kebab skewers and chips was fine but the duck...was very nice. Profiteroles dessert wasn't nice as it was hard but the cheese was good. Wine was reasonably priced too.

Excellent meal. Great staff great wine. Always try to eat here when in Bordeaux, everyone at the football tonight so it's our restaurant tonight. The best bread. Apparently PSG expected to win. The smart people either ate early before the game, or ignored the football...and had central Bordeaux and the pick of the restaurants to themselves

This restaurant attracted me by the ambiance and the decoration. It is full of old French photos and toys all around the place. You will really feel good in this place. The menu is typical for the region but, to me, the level of quality...could be improved to match the overall ambiance.

A good place to try specific French cuisine. Fried foie gras with fried apples is a heavy thing to eat, but so delicious. We also tried a veggie salad which is really big (so if you order it just keep it in mind) and gazpacho....Everything was fresh and tasty.
