Hush Hush Cafe - Boroondara

I really love this cafe! Coffee and food are delicious. All the staff is also very nice. I always went there after I finish my class.

A group of us go there each Sunday morning for breakfast. A recent visit left us dumfounded!The staff seemed totally disorganised - coffee orders were randomly presented instead of in order of purchase. Mix-ups with orders and orders not going through to the kitchen. There were simply not enough staff and those that were there, seemed utterly bewildered.After waiting for over 45 minutes for a bacon and egg roll, we discovered it had not been made! We asked for our money back and left. Won't be back again! Too many other much better cafes in the area. Sadly, I think the place is doomed.

My wife and I stopped by for breakfast today, and really like Hush Hush. The wait staff was excellent, menu had many great and varied choices, and the food presentation was beautiful...and most important...great tasting. I had the pancakes with carmelized bananas and maple syrup...simply delicious. My wife had the poached eggs on toast with avocado and ducca. She described them as fantastic and very flavourful. Great experience...we will definitely be back!

Dropped in here for a late lunch on busy Friday before going to the nearby market. Sat out in the alley. Friendly and quick service. Limited selection of food. We had the pasta with smoked salmon and the calamari which were both average but ok. Good coffee and reasonable value.
