Shane's Seafood Barbeque - Bossier City

SHANES on East Texas....Today was not a good visit to one of my favorite places to eat.... Upon entering the establishment I watched as the cashier acknowledged one customer after another. However, when I approached the register he just stood there, saying nothing. As I looked at the menu... I waited for him to acknowledge my sister and I standing there. He did not until she asked if he HE was ready. So we ordered... Brisket and Sausage...and Ribs which Mine were not hot. Salad was good except considering the price they should give TWO Dressings instead of One. For the price paid... ALL Of My Food should have been Hot and Fresh. (No One Ever Bothered to ask if everything was Ok.... So we Never had an opportunity to share our concerns

I got the seafood gumbo and was very good. Service was fast, and the staff was polite.

Shane's Seafood BBQ boasts a clean, spacious setting, complemented by warm and hospitable staff. The menu is large, offering reasonable prices. However, the food, while decent, could have more zest. The use of non-plastic utensils would be a welcomed change.

If you are anywhere near this location, go there immediately! Absolutely the best food in town! We were in town 3 days, and ate there twice. I only wish I lived closer.

So the place and people were great. My wife said she loved the Gumbo, I had the BBQ (Brisket and Sausage) and it was just okay nothing crazy. We also tried the fried pickles and they were great. I'm giving a 4 now because of the BBQ but I'll definitely be back and if some of their other food is great I think I'll raise it. Improvements I could see on the BBQ is cooking the Brisket so it's less dry and more flavor in your sausage or at least smoke it if possible.
