Sushi Gen - Bossier City

During a weekend trip to Shreveport, I stumbled upon this restaurant. Initially hesitant because of its location, as the sushi places near me in Baton Rouge have a different aesthetic. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The waiter was extremely friendly and even helped a family member try sushi for the first time by suggesting items from the menu. She ended up loving it! This restaurant has quickly become my second favorite sushi spot.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic! Unfortunately, the waitress did not provide good service and could use an attitude adjustment. It seemed like she was only focused on getting a tip. Without the waitress, I would have given this restaurant a 5-star rating. The waitress with pink hair may not be suited for this line of work as she was unhelpful and seemed impatient. Customers may have questions, so it is important for the staff to provide adequate responses and not slam the food down. Overall, the waitress's behavior impacted my dining experience negatively.

The service at the restaurant was prompt and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere despite the small size of the establishment. The sushi was delicious and the fried rice was outstanding. The spicy mayo sauce was one of the best I have ever tasted.

One of our favorites for sushi. Never disappoints. The sushi portions were large and fresh. The salmon was especially melt in your mouth good!

This restaurant has a fixed location and offers a variety of vegan options such as vegetable yaki udon/yaki soba, vegetable tempura, tofu, cucumber roll, avocado roll, and a veggie roll.
