Fin Point - Boston

I can't expect to go back. both eating and service were wonderful. the food was excellent and unpredictable. the tuna tacos and the short rib entrée were great, meanwhile I could still ask my decisions that my friends look at scallops. the service was on point and real, that was a meal, the joy back to eat for me.

Disappointed in the food. Atmosphere cute and festive for the holidays.

Such a disappointment. Second year on our annual trip to Boston, will not try a third. Made reservations a month in advance for Thanksgiving. Asked for high-top table in the bar or lounge seating. Upon arrival we were offered a high-top slammed up against a pillar, sharing a table for 8 with 5 others so dark one could not read the menu, or a table way down by the door-like the one where you’d sit the aunt or uncle no one wants to be near. Ordered drinks and a pre-fixed dinner appetizer. Watched one bartender chat up bar customers at her leisure while another appeared to be washing glasses while we waited for 15 minutes for our drink. Then our appetizer was served at the same time as the first course salad and soup. Fearing they’d rush out the main course, we asked the service be slowed a bit. The calamari was good, the butternut soup very good, the walnuts in the beet and spinach salad should have been toasted, and the salad was over-dressed. After a near half-hour we had to ask that our main courses be served. The roasted Brussels sprouts were soggy, the green beans were not crisp-tender, they were raw. A heap of mashed potatoes was covered with a rather thin slice of turkey with a small amount of gravy. Everything on the plate was barely warm. Whatever commercial bakery made the apple and pumpkin pies needs a refresher in crust. Cocktails and wine were reasonably priced but unfortunately we did not drink enough to dull the very disappointing meal. One high point was Michelle, our server who trudged back and forth the full length of the bar to our table with a smile and helpful attitude!

Was here for a late breakfast for my daughter 16th birthday. there were some last minute supplements to our party without problems. all the meals were wonderful. they even brought out a chocolate cake and lemon cream brûlée, both of which were spectacular! would definitely recommend.
