Taranta - Boston

We had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner at Taranta. Inventive Italian/Peruvian menu, friendly service, and cozy North End setting.

The pork chop was absolutely the best I've ever had! The meatball appetizers were fantastic as well. We enjoyed an excellent bottle of Caliterra red wine from Chile, which is a Cabernet blend. I will definitely be returning!

Overall, the food was quite good. The pasta was outstanding, and the Amazon paiche offered a delightful change of pace. However, our waiter forgot to order one of our appetizers, which was disappointing, and there was no apology. The cannoli for dessert were fresh but lacked flavor.

Very impressive place. We walked around the North End afterwards and it seems that Taranta feels the most intimate out of all the other places we seemed. Food and service were excellent.
