L'Ecume Gourmande - Bouin

We recently had dinner there as party of 3 and then lunch as a party of 7 adults and 2 babies. On both occasion the experience was superb. The menu was really different and the chef is hugely talented and innovative. The service was equally impressive with happy, warm and welcoming waiting staff. If you are staying anywhere in the northern Vendee or southern Brittany then you really should make your way to this wonderful restaurant.

We ate there four times in April, May and June. We will return next year. The price fixed menu during the week AND on Saturdays is the bargain. The service is wonderful. The wine list is very pricey. The food is creative and fun. The three different house made butters add the dining experience. The desserts are creative. They have a wonderful cheese tray which I will order next year.

I ate here four times with friends. I had both the menu of the day and the big menu at 52 euros. I had the 52 euro menu with wine. My first few photos are from the menu of the day the rest are from the 52 euro menu. The wines accompanying the 52 euro menu were wonderful. I collect wines in the United Sates. When I was younger I had 2000 bottles. I return ever year to this restaurant and it just gets better and better. There are also in the passport gourmand.

Un lundi soir à Beauvoir (4000 habitants, chef-lieu de canton...) : aucun restaurant d'ouvert. On se rabat sur Bouin ( 10 kms-1200 habitants). L'Ecume Gourmande est ouverte ELLE ! au visionnage de la carte : un peu cher ! mais bon,.... le peuple (4) avait faim.C'est une expérience qui date d'un an mais je me souviens de la satisfaction générale. Nous avions certainement pris le menu le moins cher mais nous en étions réjouis. Plats originaux (revisitation de hamburger !!!!).Service gentil, sympa, par une jeune femme du coin bien bavarde (nous étions les derniers clients). A priori très bonne cave : nous avons "vidé " 2 bouteilles de blanc vendéen "Pierre à feux" à un tarif...honnête. Une bonne maison à recommander mais pas dans l'urgence comme nous. Prendre son temps pour l'Ecume gourmande.

Incroyable : un menu du jour (entrée - plat - dessert avec quand même au choix 2 options pour chaque) ) servi comme un menu de Chef. Plats savoureux, joliment présentés, service au petit soin ans être omni présent dans un cadre sympa (nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir déjeuner coté jardin sous un grand saule) pour... 19€ ! Nous n'allons pas hésiter à y retourner pour tester un menu à la carte et y convier nos amis.Une vraie surprise car suis souvent passer devant en pensant que l'aspect propret du lieu semblait de bonne augure et nous en sommes repartis enchantés. Le macaron chocolat (dans le menu à 19€ ce jour là est à tomber par terre)
