Bidra med feedbackI've stayed at many many hotels, and have stayed at ones that were much cheaper than this one and much better. The rooms are very outdated and sometimes even a bit dirty and old. The breakfast is nothing special, your typical hotel breakfast with little that's nutritious or appealing. They usually have wireless but not this time, not even in the lobby, which was an inconvenience. On the flip side, the location is great for mountain biking the Bootleg trail system and it's also great for exploring Boulder City. It's within proximity of all that Boulder City has to offer.
UNBELIEVABLY underwhelming bad experience with ZERO customer service to make things right. Staff indifferent at best, and manager hard to reach, and no email for him provided. Apparently, they have two classes of rooms: Cheaper ones that do not have internet and more expensive rooms that do have internet access (and laughable fitness center . We paid the extra thirty bucks for the internet as it was necessary while traveling. Internet was spotty in the evening and completely not functioning in the morning THIS WAS WHY WE PAID $30 ADDITIONAL: TO HAVE INTERNET ACCESS. When asking about it, staff just shrugged. Literally: the girl shrugged her shoulders, and did not offer a partial refund for the extra money paid. Very interesting to see the one other reviewer said the same thing two years ago! Wish I had read that review before going here. Also: There was no paper in the bathroom, we went to call the front desk NO ANSWER. Rang 30 40 times and then tried a second time to no avail. So we could not contact them about this, or malfunctioning internet, or bad mattress without having to get dressed and walk to the desk at midnight now, where who knows if the person would even be there? And or course, since they were already so *stellar* in their rooms and service, let me add that the wake up call that was requested never happened. Since we had checked in at 11pm, there really were not other options in this small town. It rolls up the carpets at 10. So they get you, and seem to assume that you won 't be coming back, so why bother making a bad situation right? I don 't mind a bad experience if it seems that management and clerks care, but no one did. Another thing to note No matter HOW bad an experience at any hotel is, you do not have recourse to get a refund through most credit cards. Because hotels etc are considered experiences rather than products, they are not tangible, and credit cards don 't guarantee this.
We had extremely low expectations and were pleasantly surprised. See my recent review for La Quinta. Our rooms near the airport were cancelled by the hotel because they decided they didn't want to honor reservations for free rooms made through their loyalty program on a night that Vegas was selling out. So, we're halfway through our vacation with nowhere to stay the night before we fly out and limited access to cell phone and wifi signals while traipsing around the Grand Canyon. We had spotted a couple of Boulder City hotels on our way out to AZ, so we made some calls and were able to get a couple of reasonably priced (under $100 compared to over $300 in Vegas) rooms here at the Boulder Inn. We read the reviews and were definitely concerned about cleanliness. The people working the desk could not have been any nicer. They even pointed us to a local annual festival with music, food, juried crafts, and classic cars. Because of the reviews, the first thing my sister and I did was check out the sheets and bedspread and they had been freshly laundered. The mattresses were not new, but they weren't in bad shape, and showed no signs of bedbugs or other louse. The floor could use a good vacuuming, but the room was otherwise clean. It was, on the other hand, extremely outdated and there were no apparent attempts made to refurbish the room whatsoever. The wifi and the AC worked, the bed was firm, and the water in the shower was hot. I've paid more to stay in worse conditions.
Do not even think about staying at this hotel. asked for a suite and was told that having a service dog did not made me eligible for one...told me nevada has no service dogs specific laws. arrived at the room around 8:30 pm just to find out the air conditioning was off because they do not feel 112 degrees is hot enough and they believe they are not responsible for turning it on. the room is dirty and very poorly manteined... the ceiling is peeling and all the stuff falling down. wireless for free????.there is no wireless service at all!!! customer service at the front desk. just rude, unprofessional, inappropriate, careless and worse....ignorant. i will check out tomorrow first thing in the morning and make sure i will search for a real hotel.
I 've been visiting Lake Mead and Boulder City for decades and have consistently stayed at my usual hotels in the area. When a last minute lake trip came up and I went to book at my usual place, they were all booked up. After hunting around, I came across the Boulder Inn and Suites. Desperate, I just booked the room and didn 't research. (bad idea We arrived on a friday afternoon and it took about 45 minutes to get checked in. The girl running the front desk was OBVIOUSLY high as a kite and while scratching her already open sores, she slowly checked everyone in. While I was waiting with about 10 other people, the Manager Bret emerged from the back, swiftly asked the girl if she had everything under control (to which she replied 'Ummmmm?? and was about to leave. I asked if he was the manager and he said Yes. I said Don 't you think instead of leaving this girl with almost a dozen people in the lobby, you should maybe help? to which he replied Sorry MISS! I have been here since 4:00am and I have two properties to run! TWO! So I really don 't care about what you think I should be doing. Wow! I would have walked out right there but it was getting late and I had two tired kids. I let it go, checked in, and went to my room. This NON-SMOKING room smelled like someone had smoked 2 packs a day in it for the past 2 years! I didn 't let my kids take their shoes off or touch ANYTHING. You could SEE the layer of dirt on everything. I went to take a quick shower and found a huge amount of pubic hair layering the inside of the shower curtain. I made my kids sleep in their cribs so that they couldn 't touch anything and reluctantly went to sleep. My husband couldn 't sleep so he watched the happenings of this lovely place through the night, including the front desk girl having her drug dealer make a drop for her. This place needs to be shut down by the health department. It is not worth any amount of money to stay there. Staff is rude and inconsiderate and the place itself is disgusting! Don 't let their cute pictures of their themed rooms fool you. Those are equally as filthy.
