L'arquebuse - Bourg-Saint-Maurice

Whe where on our ski holiday with 2 families 4 adults 4 children. The first impression of this restaurant is ok but the way we got received by the waiter or person in charge was super bad. Very rude. Its a pity because the food is quite good. To bad you don't see us again.

The staff are endlessly welcoming, the food is great and the atmosphere just right. We skied and ate all over Les Arcs. L'Arquebuse came out second in a brilliant range of restaurants. Despite all the hard skiing, it will take a lot of dieting to get back to our starting weight, thanks to brilliant Savoyard cuisine.

Some of the report restaurants concentrate on packing you in and processing you through as fast as they can to get the next clients in. Certainly did not feel rushed and felt that there was attention to what we wanted and an enthusiasm for what they serve. Oh and it is good food as well by the way. French and Savoyarde menu. The Meat Fondue was excellent. Not particularly cheap but not eye watering and fair value for money. May be worth booking ahead if you want to eat later in the evening as they do seem to get busy.

Definitely the best restaurant now in 1600 for traditional food in a rustic environment, although le Cairn next door is great with kids. Always good service and delicious food at a reasonable alpine price. Lunch also good outside in the sunshine.
