The Myrtle Grove, Jd Wetherspoon Bingley

The bar staff at this restaurant were very unfriendly - no smiles or thank yous. Pubs are having a hard time and need to have more welcoming staff who don't treat customers like they are inconveniencing them, especially right before closing time. The entire place needs a renovation as there has been no change since it first opened.

I met up with family members for a wake in honor of a loved one who had passed away while living abroad. We were celebrating his life at this pub, as well as in Gran Canaria. The evening was going smoothly and none of us were being loud, except for raising our glasses to our lost family member. I had only ordered four pints through the app to our table, but decided to go to the bar for one last drink. However, I was told that I had already had too much to drink. When I spoke to the staff, they insisted that it was my entire group who had consumed too much. There was another group in the pub who were also celebrating a lost life, so when the staff collected our glasses, it seemed like a lot, but it was actually shared among us. Earlier in the evening, a man had fallen on his face and I was the only one who helped him up and made sure he was okay. The staff didn't seem to care, even though they had clearly served him too much alcohol. It seems like the rules are not strictly enforced in this pub, so I will not be spending any more money there in the future.

I visited this restaurant because I knew I could find food within my budget. I ordered through the app so I'm not sure about the service at the bar. The food was just the usual Wetherspoons fare. I would come back if I am in the area again.

Due to a local music festival, the pub was extremely busy. However, the staff were nothing but professional, patient and friendly. I'd like to give Christie a special mention as her warmth and efficiency shone through. Food arrived quickly and was of the usual good quality, despite high demand.

First class service and attentive friendly staff.Called today Friday.I had a mixed grill and my wife had chicken masala.Didn’t have to wait long for our food.Then they checked to see if our food was alright. Friendly and great service,we always find it relaxing in there.
