The chicken fried rice was okay, wasn’t too bad. I also ordered chilli chicken and that was really good, I enjoyed that a lot. However, the food isn’t the main reason for this review. I love professionalism and ownership as a Customer visiting businesses and I didn’t get much of that at my visit. I ordered my food half an hour prior to arriving to the restaurant and when I got there, the lady told me to have a seat and wait for the food. I waited for ANOTHER half an hour for my food but knew there’s no way I should be waiting this long. I went up to the counter and asked the lady if my food was ready and she handed it to me and turns out it was sitting there from the time I got there. No apology for the mishap. I understand mistakes happen but just an apology and ownership would have been great to myself being a Customer. Just some constructive criticism! I had the pleasure of dining at a local West Indian food spot and I must say, I was completely blown away by the flavors and authenticity of the cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant was vibrant and inviting, with reggae and soca music playing in the background and colorful decor that transported me straight to trinidad. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful suggestions and ensuring that my dining experience was top notch. As for the food, every dish we tried was a culinary delight. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy, with just the right amount of heat. The curry fish was tender and flavorful, with a rich and fragrant sauce that had me going back for seconds. And let's not forget about the rice and peas a staple of West Indian cuisine that was cooked to perfection. But the standout dish of the night was the roti filled with a savory mix of curry chicken and potatoes, creating a dish that was as comforting as it was delicious. I couldn't get enough of it! Overall, my dining experience at this West Indian food spot was truly memorable. The flavors, the atmosphere, and the hospitality all exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes from their tantalizing menu. If you're a fan of Caribbean cuisine, this is a must visit spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. I’ve tried veggie roti from every other roti shop and franchise across the GTA now and can safely say, nobody does it better than Radica’s. That being the case, this applies to their doubles and roti wraps. Best paratha, best doubles, best veggie roti there is from Brampton to Oshawa. No debate!
