Churn - Branchville

I ordered from this restaurant three times, and each time the food was disappointing and greasy. The fish and fries were boiled and soggy, making them the worst fries and fish I've ever had. The gizzards were tough and chewy, almost like leather. The only decent items were the salads, which were well-prepared. Both times I tried the fried foods, they were absolutely unappetizing. Years ago, this place was great for burgers and other meals, but now it’s terrible. I’m not sure what changed. My husband got sick from the muddy catfish and fries, and I ended up throwing mine away. They really need to cook the food a bit longer.

This place is amazing! The flavor is fantastic, and I honestly believe it deserves a perfect score of 5 out of 5, not just 4.3. The food is as delightful as what you'd find in Georgia. I would go out of my way just to visit Churn!

I always stop here on my way back from the lowlands! I really enjoy Southern roasted food, and the ice was simply fantastic.
