Nellie's - Branford

We walked into Nellie’s and had an exceptional time. We had a short brunette as our bartender, and she was extremely attentive. The cocktails are delicious. We got the coconut shrimp, shrimp tacos, and cod tacos. All were eaten with no crumbs left on the plate. 10/10 would come again.

If I could give no stars, I would! Went to dinner with friends the entire event could not have been worse. Sat inside and the staff were yelling to each other and laughing as they stood by the bar. We could hardly carry on a conversation. The Tuna tartare lacked all seasoning abd the chips were stale. the coconut shrimp were borderline burnt.The lobster toll was cold and had no butter. Server said a new one would be made, A young food server said it was reheated and the roll was burnt to char!!!! I refused the lobster roll and was told it would be taken off the bill, never asked if I would like something else and no apology. Server didn’t seem to care. Two men in our group ordered burgers, which were to be cooked med rare and med well. The two young servers who delivered the burgers did not know which was which??? One of the servers said cut them open and check???? The female server said, I guess you just want the check!!! We paid it left and vowed never to return. A horrible experience.

I came here Labor Day weekend and I had the best experience! The servers were all so kind and attentive and the view of the water is fantastic. Couldn’t ask for a better place to have delicious drinks and food
