The best spot for lunch! Nash and Leda are incredible hosts and the view is the best you could ask for in Brattleboro. All foods are gluten free and many options can also be made dairy free without compromising flavor.
This place makes the best dosas I’ve ever had, and the owners are super thoughtful and hospitable. I want to get dosas now any time I’m anywhere near Brattleboro. My sister’s spouse is Indian and they’d previously lived in India for years — they referred to it as “tastes exactly like what you get in India”. The Mysore masala dosa is incredible (but avoid if you can’t handle a lot of heat — it made my other sister cry). The Mexican chile masala dosa is similarly fantastic if you’re looking for a more medium heat with a lot of really lovely chile complexity. I also love the nutty falafel, but it’s almost hard to order it and lose stomach space for amazing dosa. Yes, you might be waiting up to 30 minutes for your food depending on how busy they are, but there is plenty to do/explore while you wait and your food will be so consistently perfect it is worth it every time. My only criticism is that the quantity of chutney they give you relative to dosa is on the small side, and it’s sometimes difficult to ask for more since they’re so busy; I get not wanting to waste food, but it’d be nice there were a condiment station to grab more yogurt or coconut chutney. I also wish they had a sauce that could act as a vegan yogurt substitute; honestly the tahini sauce on their falafel wrap could probably easily be flexed as a yogurt substitute. And if the cabbage slaw with tahini sauce that comes with the falafel wrap were available as a side, I would buy it every time.
Leda and Nash are lovely hosts and their Mysore Masala dosa is the best we’ve had in the US, definitely worth the wait on busy Saturday mornings. The location and view is quintessentially Vermont, as is the company. We’ll keep coming back for more
One of the best places to have a proper Indian Dosa . Felt completely satisfied
