Bidra med feedbackI have been here a fair few times over the years, however my visit today just brought back all those awesome memories of having breakfast here nearly every day when working locally. I have to be honest, the standard coffee is not for me, but the Latte is outstanding (I only drink coffee). Today I had a round of toast for Breakfast in the morning and then the Bacon Burger in the afternoon and it was stunning. My work mates both had a breakfast and raved about it. Apart from the food the gift shop and the amount of history contained within is just superb. I could have spent the whole day in there just reading and looking at all the photos and memorabilia. The staff were really cool and very helpful. Overall a very enjoyable experience for anyone, even if you’re not a fan of cars bikes you will love the food.
We went on a bike trip for the Brighton Reunion festival and stopped for the weekend in London. We go to ACE Cafe for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With the preparation for the sunday run to Brighton they had full house and live music. Great atmosphere. Great food too. I loved the Manx Kippers for breakfast. Perfect. But also Burgers, Chilli and fish and chips had been great. Hotel in walking distance and we could also enjoy the drinks. Next year on the first weekend in september will be the 40 th Reunion we will be back for sure.
To every British biker young old, Ace carries a reputation as one of the UK’s motorcycle Meccas, a place to visit at least once in some kind of weird petrol pilgrimage. All I can say is don’t go to the Bike Shed in Shoreditch beforehand, as sadly it casts a shadow over Ace that it can’t really contend. The equivalent of going on a date with a young double jointed pornstar on Monday, and then grabbing dinner with one eyed Barbara from the local Spar on Tuesday……who was apparently quite the woman back in 1994……see where I’m going with this? You walk in to Ace and you get that vibe that most seaside towns give you, definitely the place to be in years gone by but now struggling in a different world with different people. For someone not even staring at 40 yet, Ace gives you a feel of the old cafe racer scene. No bells or whistles, just coffee, greasy spoon grub and somewhere to sit with your other biker mates to talk about lager boobs. If you turn up on your Ducati expecting a perfectly fluffy latte a panini while you brush the flies off your Belstaff jacket then you’ll sadly be crying in your corderoy pants as the best you’ll get is a bacon bap and a decent brew with no decorum.
They didn’t respond to tell me when my coffee was ready, they give me cold latte coffee. He didn’t say sorry or anything .
Great atmosphere nice lunch friendly staff. Very famous motorcycle cafe just off the North circular at Stonebridge Park.
