Old St Louis Chop Suey - Bridgeton

Located near Lambert International Airport on Saint Charles Rock Rd, Old St Louis Chop Suey is a classic American Chinese restaurant situated in a shopping mall. The exterior is easy to spot with ample parking in the front. We stopped by before my flight from St. Louis and were pleasantly surprised by the quick service - our food was on the table within minutes of ordering. The owner, possibly Vietnamese, runs the small order window and serves up traditional American Chinese dishes. The interior is simple with rows of tables and minimal Chinese decor.

Overall, this is a great place to dine. The ice cream is nicely roasted and the St. Paul sandwich is truly delicious.

One of my favorite places to eat. Owner knows how to treat people. Food is great!!!

I’m giving this joint four star rating based on the cleanness of the place alone. It was very clean and the workers were very courteous. Did not take long for the food. I didn’t particularly care for my food. I ordered the orange chicken combo, accustomed to having the chicken cut out of breast meat but it thigh meat. (Which was a bit fatty) It was heavily breaded and soggy as a result. The rice was dark and maybe overcooked. I consider maybe it was a bad day some places have different cooks on certain days. I didn’t finish the meal. All things considered I would East there again. Not all Chinese food is created equal I am partial to my favorite place. .
