Rosie's Testaurant - Brighton

Usually get take out from here. The first time we went to dine in, we had to clear a table, and it was a while before things got cleaned up. It was a Saturday night, and the waitress was very busy, so it wasn't her fault, but it wasn't a pleasant experience for our first time. Fish Chips are great though! One of the best, in my humble opinion.

During Covid, no precautions were taken. Did not appreciate person at the cash handling money and then my food. I asked for a plastic fork and knife as it was a take out order, and she picked up the tong end of the fork and the sharp part of the knife with her hands. I did not feel like eating my food knowing her bare hands had touched the utensils during Covid, right after handling money. Fries were greasy and black and shrivelled up. I also was overcharged. I phoned the owner later but he was totally indifferent and simply made up something ridiculous about the overcharging.

Not impressed. Today, I ordered a Banquet Burger WITH fries ...on the menu it reads...Banquet Burger With Fries $12.75...that reads to me the fries are included with the burger. When the waitress brought my order it only had the burger, nothing else. Where were my fries? I asked her, and she said the order doesn 't include fries, only the burger. I asked her politely about it, why it says WITH fries, and she was annoyed as she repeated her answer. I had to pay an added $4.55 for fries. That means I paid $17.30...plus tax... for a burger and fries. They weren 't worth that ridiculous amount. And...I left her a $5 tip. How stupid is that? What a ripoff joint.

Went there last weekend while camping at KOA in Brighton. The staff were extremely friendly, the food excellent and the service was quick. Overall, a very well run restaurant. Will definitely go back next time we are in the area.

I was a little disappointed today when I called in an order and while waiting when I got there there was another customer who entered not wearing a mask and nothing was said. Also the employee behind the counter only had her mask half on. The machine to pay with was not wiped down between uses either, even though people had to touch it for the tip option.
