Madtongsan II - BRISBANE CITY

Amazing Korean food. Never once disappointed and have been here many many times. One of my favourite Korean restaurants in all of Brisbane, and definitely a close favourite in the CBD. The food is just superb and delicious and in my personal opinion the spicy meals are done exactly the amount of spicy that I like. However, what gives this restaurant 5 stars is the customer service. On my most recent visit there, I took off my (small!) earrings, put them on the table and silly me - after the meal I stupidly forgot to put them in my bag and I left the restaurant without them. Halfway through the bus ride home I suddenly realised that they weren't in my bag or in my ears. I rang the restaurant straight away hoping that they would have seen them on the table but I had a bad feeling that they wouldn't have seen them and they would have been gone for good. At first the man on the phone couldn't understand me - huge language barrier and I had to repeat myself several times before he went and grabbed someone to put on the phone who could speak English. The second man on the phone spoke good English and told me not to worry, they had my earrings and they would keep them for me for as long as I needed, whenever it would be easiest for me to pick them up. I got off the bus and took another bus back to the restaurant, and when I arrived they had it sealed for me in a small ziplock bag and kept it in a safe place. Thanks so much for the high quality and delicious meals and for making sure your customers are satisfied. I have forgotten things in other restaurants many years ago and I was never able to get them back so I am really thankful and happy with the service here!

Bibimbap is super big size which can absolutely feed two. Spicy rice cake with fish cake is also good. The waiters and waitresses are most Korean which makes the environment more 'authentic' LOL

This restaurant has been consistent for years. Overall, their food is authentic and nice. Their Japchae is to die for! Sadly, their pancakes are not the best, yet I recommend this place for a good Korean dining experience

We went here on friday and this place was full. I had high expectation. But it turned out that this place didnt meet my expectation. The food was okay, but it was not special. It came in big portion tho. So you can share with your friends.
