Bidra med feedbackBeing from Melbourne, we roamed the streets one night looking for a decent restaurant and were lucky to stumble upon this place. The food was great and the owner was extremely accommodating with the menu, making alterations to fit with our preferences. We were the only ones in the place and it closed for the night soon after so I can only assume that not many people know about this place - they should. It was a touch pricey, so be aware of that, but the food was all great.
Ten of us ate here last Saturday evening and without exception we all were very happy with our meals, the service and the atmosphere. If there was anything to complain about it was that for some of us the serves were too large. Not much of a complaint!Three of us chose the prawns and scallops from the specials board. Yum. Deserts were also generous. and tasty.
Dinner for four , Saturday night. Specials were explained to us by the 'chef'. Sounded interesting. However, what a disaster. Overpriced, soggy seafood, overcooked pasta , cold bread, so bland and so not Italian. Entree with cheese and cold meats, antipasti, passable but the bread was dry and cold, not pleasant. My main was described as being 4 oversized king prawns and scallops, with salad. The prawns were average size, overcooked and swimming in some sort of sauce, unidentified. To top it off, there was a salad sitting in the middle of the plate with the same unidentified warm sauce swimming through it. Small tasteless scallops floating in the same sauce, inedible. My husbands ravioli was both overcooked and under cooked on the same plate, not easy to do! The whole meal was sub standard to the point where I wished I was at home and not paying $100 a couple for the 'joy' of this experience. On my worst weeknight I cook a better pasta/seafood and with some love, not like this meal. No joy at all. Will not be returning.
Great Italian fare in seaside Wynnum. Dined Wednesday evening with olive antipasta entre and ordered from the specials for mains, beef cheeks for him and seafood soup for her, all delicious, not over salted yet with complex flavours. Will return!!!
A friend recommended this restaurant for my birthday dinner. It was a real treat. beautiful authentic Italian food. If I lived in Brisbane I would be a regular dinner. There was a table of 5 we all had different entree, mains and deserts. So I got to try a good variety of dishes. Everyone was blown away with quality of the food and the professional service. It is also BYO which was a bonus.
