Authentic Malaysian Hawker Food<br/ <br/ We dropped into this small restaurant for a casual Sunday night dinner after reading all the positive reviews online. We tried a couple of their signature dishes CKT (char kway teow) and seafood curry laksa. Both were delicious and we also loved their lau sa bao (molten salted egg custard buns) which were amazing. The service was very friendly and you can BYO.
Nice little Malay restaurant. Food menu simple but nicely done. One of the most tasty Malay cuisine in town. Portion sizes not your typical Asian take away huge portion but taste is spot on. Limited seat but great in the way that it's away from the crowd and noises. Nasi Lemak, Randeng Beef both great options.
It was fairly crowded on a weekday night, and their store is fairly small. We found that the food tasted authentic, however the portions were a bit small despite the price. We had ordered the char kuey teow, nasi lemak, laksa and hor fun. All were very delicious, although the laksa tasted more like curry. Besides that, the nasi lemak rice was very fragrant, along with the belachan. Staff was very friendly too, and waiting time could have been a little bit faster. Overall, considering price and portion size there are other better Malaysian restaurants out there. But for authenticity, their food is pretty good.
Wendy and I love this place and the couple who run it. Nothing is a bother to them the meals are very flavoursome and good sized and best of all freshly prepared. We have made this place our local and try to get there once or twice a week for a feed or takeaway.
