Bidra med feedbackIn a lineup of standard pub counter meals, it'd be impossible to specifically identify food from the Vic. Which is fine for a work farewell lunch. My Barramundi was exactly as described on the box (grilled w salad & chips) & cost $12.50. No complaints. End boring review. ????
Had a great lunch there, my burger came out quick and was served with a comp drink. I had the pulled pork burger and it was one of the best I've had in Brisbane. The beer garden is neat and tidy with a big screen. Definitely worth a visit for there burgers and drink offers.
On our quest to try as many clubs and pubs on the streets of aus I manage to pass the delightful victory lounge. Unfortunately I could only have a drink because they did not allow my drunk friends in which I liked. Really nice place to sit at
Early-ish dinner in the CBD, not too noisy, not to fancy... The Victory sounded (and looked) very inviting. We strolled in, and were surprised to find a venue with loads of space , a busy kitchen (delicious menu), talented bar staff and lots of steady business. The place was humming but didn't seem packed to the gills :)My fellow dinners chose burger dinners, the Horatio to be exact. Lots of lovely fresh salad, relish, drool-worthy mayo and crisp hot chips. Our friend had the unmodified dish and a Strongbow; 'he' had extra avo but no relish or mayo because he can't eat garlic. I noted that both of them cleaned their plates!!! Surprisingly, chatter didn't falter for a second.I had a chat with head chef Melissa before ordering; she offered me a choice of allergy-friendly salmon or barra. I chose barra grilled on parchment, just crisped, with amazing chips. Together with the soda water from bartender Josh, I was so full and content I could barely walk back to Central Station for the train trip home. This is a lovely central venue to meet friends for a drink or a celebration. It's accessible, and they're as versatile as they can be. Check it out!
The Vic is an interesting pub with lots of different areas to hangout in. The beer garden is a fun place with a good vibe on a Saturday night. The live act was great and very talented but the DJ was so so. I gave up on the DJ after I heard Footloose play for a 3rd time in a space of a couple of hours. Drinks are average in price. $9.60 for a premium bourbon and coke.On a night out, play it safe. I was harassed by a drunk man and I let a security guard know and they sorted it out. Don't let those kind of people ruin your night or impact your safety. Staff were great!
