Yard Bird Ale House - Brisbane

Food was decent with good serving sizes, although it was the friendly service, the relaxed atmosphere and the vegan options that made it the perfect dining out option that suited the whole family and will keep us coming back.

So good!! Buffalo wings are excellent, and the nachos are fab. There is only one tiny thing I was mildly disappointed about... the blue cheese sauce wasn't thick enough (I know, pathetic!). My partner and I want to try everything on the menu. Luckily it's within walking distance from my place!

We came for a Sunday lunch and we're happy to try something different in the area. There were some good vegetarian options on the menu and I ordered the vegan wrap. I was later informed that they were out of vegetarian patties which took about 4 vegetarian items off the menu, slimming down my choice substantially. There was a pumpkin salad and the lady who served me suggested they put the pumpkin in the wrap. What I ended up with was very different to what I ordered and included pumpkin, beans and salsa. It was almost like a burrito. It was delicious and filling and I was happy with their solution. This would be a great place to come for drinks with later in the afternoon or evening. There was some good bar food on the menu and most of the beer was craft beer. I'd happily return.

This is what Bris needs more of, a dive bar that serves food that's bad for you and beers that are plentiful and cold. Honestly, if you want a xxxx and a schnitzel go down the road, but if you want chickan wangs/pizza and a great micro brew, this is your place! (FYI is not that rubbish micro brew either, it's actually the good stuff).

Not a bad little place but I am not too sure if you're my type... Sorry. Soft shell tacos were ok, nothing to jump at, and my he time I ate them they were not just soft, but soggy. Chilli fries had a great flavour to it. Good serve share in a group! $6 schooners on a Sunday! Nice way to end the weekend! Thanks! 19/6 - Must try the Garlic and Parmesan Wing!!! Yum yum yum!!!
