Bento Boss - Bristol

The restaurant offers excellent vegan options, with the bento box being especially fantastic. The side dishes are good and the miso soup comes with chunky tofu, which I appreciated. Overall, everything I have tried there has been enjoyable. I highly recommend the bento box, which includes delicious vegan sushi and fantastic tempura. The katsu curry is also awesome, with perfect panko and rice. I frequent this restaurant when I am in Clifton and highly recommend it for a nice meal. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you receive.

I enjoyed the sweet potato bao buns at this restaurant! I ordered a bento box, which had a decent portion size, but I wish the flavors were more pronounced.

The staff was helpful and the ambiance was decent, but unfortunately the meal was rather unseasoned and flavorless. Everything seemed to taste the same and nothing stood out. The tempura batter was overwhelming and the veggies couldn't be tasted. The Bao was greasy and lacked seasoning, with sparse amounts of sauce. The tempura veggies were decent, but lacked flavor. The donburi had a good portion of tofu, but it was silken tofu in tempura batter which became soggy. The main flavor was fried onion. The udon noodles and veggies were also flavorless. The best flavors came from the ginger beer, soy sauce, and chili oil offered by the staff. The location was great, but it's best not to have high expectations when dining here. It's disappointing to leave a negative review, but others should be aware of this level of disappointment.

This is one of our favorite spots in all of England for vegetable bento sets, some ridiculous (dangerously habit forming) eggplant (aubergine) steak, and steamy bowl of yasai tofu donburi off of the separate all vegan menu from @bentobossbristol where your taste buds will have a fantastic time.

The unseasoned tempura batter was overwhelming and I couldn't even taste the sweetness of the bao. The tempura pumpkin was bland, the cucumber was crisp, and the dish overall lacked flavor. The location was great, but I wouldn't recommend going in with high expectations. I hate to leave a negative review, but I was truly disappointed and want others to be aware.
