Absolutely fabulous pho. Very fast, amazing portions. Most meat I’ve ever gotten in a serving of pho, very delicious.
We were just in the neighbourhood and saw this restaurant and we gave it a try. Surprised at how affordable the prices were. We ordered bahn mi and ten ingredients fried rice (which is a delicious, not too salty shrimp fried rice). Bahn mi was also good. Service was ok. Could use a bit more smile. But they weren’t rude at all and the food came really quickly. Other patrons weren’t that loud and the place wasn’t that dirty considering in Chinatown. Would come back and try the pho.
Wish I could say my visit to this pho spot was amazing, but it was far from it. What I hoped would be a delightful meal turned into a regrettable dining disaster. Let me break it down for you. Firstly, when I placed my order for pork spring rolls, the staff member got it wrong. Mistakes happen, right? But instead of politely correcting it, the guy shouted at me and scowled as if I was the one at fault. Talk about being unprofessional and downright rude! I was so taken aback, I nearly walked out then and there. When they finally did bring out the pork spring rolls, I almost wished they hadn’t. Saying they tasted like sawdust is putting it mildly. If there was any pork in there, it was doing a fantastic job of playing hide and seek because all I got was a mouthful of flavorless, dry filling. Now, onto the pho – the supposed star of the show. Calling it unphenomenal would be a compliment. It was bland, uninspiring, and did nothing to salvage the already ruined meal. For a place that’s supposed to specialize in pho, this was a letdown of epic proportions. To sum it up, this place was a total disappointment. From the get-go, the service was off-putting, with staff that seemed more interested in winning arguments than providing a pleasant dining experience. And the food? Far from the authentic, flavorful experience you’d expect. There are plenty of other spots where you can get your pho fix without the side of hostility and disappointment. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Your taste buds and peace of mind will thank you.
Service was fantastic, the food was delicious and didn't leave me a heavy feeling. The shrimp spring rolls and spring pancakes were scrumptious. The pho was also amazing. Definitely will be back.
