Rjc Family's Cafe - BRONX

What started as a curious craving one day for enchiladas, became years of frequent visits and calls to try their quesadillas, tuna wraps, their salads and fruit smoothies and juices, the crispy chicken wraps, the chicken fajita plate, the blueberry muffins, the tiramisu, their mojitos and a variety of other culinary delights. For a long time Fordham Rd didn't have a place where you can order a salad or just healthy options with robust flavor. Everything was burgers and fried chicken. Granted, there have been some Latin restaurants in this area as well, but Family's Cafe is that small whole in the wall that surprises you with a variety of great food and courteous service. It truly is a place to take your family for a good meal. Although, Family's Cafe is currently going through that awkward growing phase as they're trying to expand with a pizzeria and their website needs to update, my family and I keep coming back and are glad to know it survived the Covid-19 lockdown of 2020 and even added outdoor dining in 2021. We're curious to see how their pizza will be.

Very good comfort food. I took a star away because they don't keep up on their online orders. I ordered, waited almost an hour and a half with no update, called them, only to find they never checked online orders. Once it was corrected, my food came in 20 minutes. The guy on the phone was very polite. I can't complain about his customer service at all. Note: the delivery guy is an angry little troll. He expected a cash tip, but I already paid it with my card. He needs to seriously relax. If I hadn't had my tasty adult beverage already, I probably would have swung on him for that angry face he gave me. Luckily, I just didn't care in the moment. So be angry, little troll.....ugh. Advise, if you want delivery, just call them directly. It's free over 10 dollars anyway.

I love this place.. the workers are great and the service is professional friendly and fast and the food is even greater... I eat here with my friends always... the tacos and flautas are yumm.. the food is always hot and fresh

This restaurant serves the best Mexican food in the neighborhood! The servers have such great energy and personality that it feels like home. The chilaquiles are incredible, just like a recipe from Mama!

The food here is incredible. Anything that comes with their guacamole is delicious. Be sure to have some napkins on hand, as the dishes are generously topped with irresistible ingredients. You really can't go wrong with any choice!
