Mitchell's Fish Market - Brookfield

Ordering near the end of kitchen hours shouldn’t justify mediocre quality especially for the recent cost of crab. The food was all cold and had to ask for the melted butter. The asparagus was plain and bland. Then we were charged for two shrimp add ons when only one was ordered. The staff at the bar was very friendly and accommodating.

Stopped in yesterday for Drinks and an App. Gaby was amazing at the bar. Food and drinks were delicious as well!

Waiter barely gave us time to look at the drink menu. Then too along time to come back to take our drink order. It took so long that he took our drink order, app order and dinner order all at once. We received our drinks after our meal came out. I ran out of water before then as well. The waiter gave us our bread and after about 5 minutes he tried to take it away when he brought us our app. We were not done with eating the bread. The spicy shrimp app was good. My wife enjoyed her meal which was the Shanghai Seafood Sampler. My meal which was the Trio, was way overcooked which I don't think I have ever been served an overcooked meal since I typically like my food more done than most. The shrimp were super tough and dry. So was the salmon. It was my wife's bday which was mentioned in the reservation and then brought up by the hostess. Nothing was done to recognize her though. Honestly we could care less but it was odd. Why even ask? Waiters service was bad and it wasn't even busy when we were there.

First time diner with my spouse, we were looking forward to trying your restaurant but left very disappointed. Came in at 11:30am when restaurant opened for the day, not busy at all. Started off not good, ordered drinks, a Coke and ounce of Bourbon, waited about 25 minutes for the Coke and server to return to say they need to open another bottle of Bourbon and server took our food order then waited another 15 minutes for drink to finally come. Server then asked if we wanted fresh bread/ butter after all that time, waited roughly 35 minutes for food to arrive, fries were bland and coleslaw on fish and chips order was bland. Sometimes food is worth the waith which we will patiently do, but for all the wait service and food was not great which is disappointing for an upscale casual restaurant. Will pay good money for good food which is to be expected, but prices not worthy for the portions received.

1.We walked in and it smelled like sewer. (Should have left) 2. Fruit flies. Again, should have left but it was our anniversary and I've always loved their food, service and ambiance. 3. My wine glass was dirty. 4. Our salads had a lot of brown lettuce in them. They replaced them after a gentle request. 5. Vegetables that came with our meal were not very fresh. (Tolerable) I spoke to Gabbie, the manager. She was kind and receptive of my feedback. She said the whole mall and restaurants on the periphery are dealing with the foul sewer smell. She apologized.
