Bidra med feedbackJust down from the Brooklyn ferry wharf, where you can catch a train at the Hawkesbury River railway station or take a small, privately operated ferry to Dangar Island and Little Wobby Beach, you'll come across Fitzies Fish & Chips. This tiny, no-frills establishment has counters that open up to a narrow walkway, creating an intimate experience. A chalkboard displays the daily specials, while the rest of the menu features classic fish and chip offerings...
I had fish and chips for lunch today and was very disappointed! The chips were soggy, and the batter on the fish was greasy. I'm in Brooklyn.
This place is a hidden gem! It’s just a small, unassuming fish and chips shop in a quiet coastal town, but it’s definitely worth the trip. Conveniently located right across from the train station and about a ten-minute drive off the expressway, it’s worth taking a detour next time you're traveling up the M1. The fresh fish is absolutely delicious (we highly recommend the John Dory—it literally melts in your mouth), and the batter is light and crispy, leaving no heavy, greasy regret after indulging. While it’s a bit on the pricey side for a fish and chips spot, we still think it’s worth it. The only disappointment was the tartare sauce; a beautiful homemade version or even a high-quality store-bought one would really elevate the meal.

But on the plus side found our order on the front counter as takeaway......... The woman confronted the wife and said I must have taken a table number without her knowing and sat out the back at the tables. A blatant lie which she finally apologised for when she realise I was out the back. We then got the excuse that they were very busy and she must have forgotten to write our table number...read more
Fitzie's has a range of food options which vary in price but with generous and tasty portions it is definitely a must go if you ever visit Brooklyn.
