The seating is plentiful and socially distanced, and the servers are top-notch - professional, courteous, and great with kids or on a date. Salty dog is a great place to eat. it's built like a firehouse that's really cool. eating is better quality than just pub food and drinks are good. the personal was great. I would definitely recommend it and I will be back by soon.

A wonderful, fire-home-made, locally owned joint that has both a bar area and a private restaurant area. eating is excellent, I would say above average for this type of place. it has an excellent children's menu, but not overorders. they give the children a lot of food. but I would guarantee even the picky eaters will eat from the children's menu. excellent place when you are in bay ridge, it is absolutely worth a stop. they will not be disappointed.

I come here several times a week and have never left without having a great experience. The environment in it of itself is tremendous with a very polite staff to add to it. The decor is tremendous as well as it gives a very Brooklyn feel to the bar. It is clear to see that they care about their customers and their neighborhood, and are also very patriotic, which is quite refreshing to see compared to other places. The food is outright quality and they have delicious specials at a good price, in particular the steak for two. You can tell the staff is trained well as I usually do not go long without being attended to. In particular, John, is phenomenal. He is very friendly and does his part to make the regulars feel at home. He is just the best. Overall 5 star review for this neighborhood staple. Best experience in the area as far as bars go. Needless to say, John Taffer couldn’t run a bar this well.
