Scottadito Osteria Toscana - Brooklyn

We arrived at 4:30 pm for dinner. We were the only group in the restaurant and soon 3 other parities arrived. We had placed our orders for drinks and an appetizer and despite having placed our orders first we were served after 3 other tables. We also received our food after 2 other tables. They were very attentive to the other tables. Us not so much, They served us cold bread along with a cold sauce. I had to request warm bread three times The calamari and shrimpappetizer was nothing to write home about, the aioli was lacking. My Toscana pizzette was basicall a big cracker with fresh ricotta and truffles out of a brine... it was tasteless... the best thing I tried was the Italian Gravy was reallygood. We also ordered the red snapper that was we dont think was real. The mussels and octopus were missing in action and lacked flavor. The food was bland bland bland. The chicken casserole was delicious. We ordered cannoli gelato,cheesecake brownie. Not sure why they called it a cheesecake brownie... there was no cheesecake in it... but delicious.

Everything was subpar while the price was rarely expensive.

Scottadito is a fantastic restaurant with excellent food and service. My girlfriend and I have visited twice and had a wonderful experience on both occasions. We went for brunch on Sunday, and even though we had reservations, they kindly accommodated us at the bar. The bartender, Judy, was exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and ensured we had a great dining experience. The brunch menu offered delicious food, which makes me confident that the lunch and dinner options are just as good. We have already returned with a friend and plan to visit again soon.

The atmosphere at this restaurant was amazing. They were very generous with mimosas for those who chose the unlimited brunch option. However, the food was not very satisfying. We all ordered some kind of egg dish and none of us enjoyed it. It seemed like the food had been prepared in advance and was not fresh. Despite this, the price was $30 per person and we were able to enjoy unlimited drinks for two hours, so we can't complain too much!

Scottadito is a fantastic restaurant! The food is always fresh and authentic. Stephanie, the host, is very welcoming. I highly recommend dining here.
