I came to town to work with my two kids for the weekend. I went to close in 2 minutes; I offered to go when I realized it (or take it to go). The owner, the family and the server told us we were fine. That wasn't the worst. Before we went to the order, I realized that I had no cash and a storm went through the city and knocked out all WiFi, that meant no money, no credit card. I told her I'm so sorry to waste her time, we can't order, we don't have money. They weren't here from my children, and I went hungry and said to order my food. I promised to come back and pay. We're fast and in box what we don't. They fed us, waited for us and treated us so kindly that they never know if they would get their money. My children were in shock with the kindness that showed us these beautiful strangers. We could trade across the street and get cash. Bless you that you show such goodness in my family age.
What friendly and nice people that work here, it feels like you belong here. Michelle is so nice as are all the staff here. The food is homemade, not from a food service and microwaved and served. These folks make Great burgers, chicken, onion rings, sandwiches. We Love everything they have served us. Thanks for showing folks the right way to treat people. I Highly recommend this restaurant. We stop here every 2 weeks on the way through. It feels like your coming to a place that folks have known you all your life. THANKS for the warmth and hospitality. 5 STARS
The service was decent. The food was sub-par at best, and the quality was reflected in the low prices. The bacon on their feature burger(a frozen patty) was primarily soggy fat. When I ordered a side of cheese sticks I didn't expect it to replace the chips and pickle the burger comes with, especially since I was paying more. The atmosphere inside the restaurant felt very Depression-Era, in that it felt depressing, with quiet music only playing out of a single speaker. The walls were lined with old pictures, and with the re-bar blocking some of the windows the place was creepy. The dining area connects to a bar, which reeked of cigarette smoke.
