Bia Mara - Bruxelles

Simple fish and chip restaurant, ideal for a fast bite. Hearty food with a lot of taste. Fish is crispy outside, juicy inside. Chips on the side are crispy, with a lot of delicious sauce on the side. ? Rudimentary, but still cozy interior. Service is fast, so you should be able to get a table without booking. ? Over the years a bit more expensive, but still good value.

I had the special taiwanese style. It was great. The spicy Mayo served it with was also a pleasure. The seasonal side salad was perhaps my favorite thing on the table. Simply delicious, but it is tomato season. The lemon and basil, I think with cod was also great. The sauce needs a little more truffle in it! The ink rings with ink sauce were also good. My partner found the sauce a little too mad, but I loved her. I also had her Hibiscus ice tea, reminded of Jamaica. Great drink, not too sweet. If you go for lunch, I'd probably share it. That ended with more food than we really needed. Take it from 20ish to 10! And it's enough for lunch, I assure you.

Very nice fish and ships. The crust is perfectly crispy but thin and the fish moist. Just wish they had some regular mayo to go with the fries. Also highly recommend getting the shrimp nibbles. They?re sunny tasty.

Reliable and great fish chips in the middle of the city. You have 5 to 6 different options for fish and chips, everyone comes with every specific sauce and maybe also batters and chips style. The nice thing is that they only serve fresh fish so that you go another time and a different type of fish are served depending on what was bought in the season. They now also have other possibilities for people who do not want to eat fish, or perhaps want it burger style.

Decent fish and chips. I appreciate the effort to make the fish and chips slightly different and add different flavours such as having Spanish or Cuban inspired sauces, to having a black sauce for the calamari. Cod definitely the fish to get. I think my expectations were too high from the reviews, as I thought it was about alright. Nothing bad, but not something I would specially come to try.
