Amazing Indian food. Drive out of our way to go to. This and the one in Fishtown are the best Ekta locations.

Love the food here, the best Indian food in Bryn Mawr! It’s our favorite restaurant. Highly recommend the lamb biriyani and butter chicken!

My first time trying Indian food and decided to get take out from Ekta as I live in the area and pass it almost every single day! I was pleasantly surprised. Got two huge samosas, paneer naan, baigan bharta (eggplant dish and rice for about $23. All vegetarian friendly! It was so delicious and I will definitely be going back :

Delicious and intricately flavored food, excellent and attentive service. Bathroom on premises. Street parking free after 6pm. Small interior sitting space; ideal for small parties or take out. Ekta is one of best Indian restaurants in the area!

My family and I got take out on 10/13/23. While the food was very good in terms of taste, the portion sizes are a complete rip off. We got 3 entrees (2 chicken dishes and 1 shrimp dish) and all 3 of them came in appetizer size containers. The butter chicken, mango chicken and shrimp were put in 6-8oz plastic containers…. I’m not sure if they were trying to save money or cut corners or we wouldn’t notice but … that was a complete rip off for entrees that cost $22-30. If you’re ordering take out beware.
